Macon, Ga – The No. 3 Lady Titans (15-15 overall) defeated No. 6 East Georgia State College 65-57 Tuesday night to advance to the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) Division I Women's Basketball semifinal round.

After a slow start and being outscored 20-8 in the second quarter, the Lady Titans found themselves down 29-20 at halftime. Shooting only 18.8 percent from the field, the Lady Titans struggled to find an offensive rhythm during the first half.

Hitting their offensive stride in the second half and instituting a full-court press on defense, the Lady Titans went on a 13-5 run in the fourth quarter to take a 50-49 lead and never looked back.

Leading the Lady Titans was sophomore Victoria Brown with a game-high 20 points, four rebounds, eight assists, and one block. Fredricka Sheats finished with 17 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Freshman Laurie Thomas recorded a double-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, one block, and three steals.

The Lady Titans will face No. 2 Georgia Highlands College in the GCAA Semifinals on Friday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. The game will take place at host South Georgia Technical College in Americus, and will be streamed live on the GCAA Sports Network.
