Lady Titans Lose at Home to Georgia Highlands

Macon, Ga. – For the second time in as many matchups this season, the Central Georgia Technical College Lady Titans (9-13, 8-4) fell to the Georgia Highlands College Lady Chargers on Saturday.

Down 42-33 at halftime, sophomore Victoria Brown helped stage an 8-0 run for the Lady Titans with her sharp shooting from beyond the three-point arc. Playing it close for much of the third quarter, the Lady Titans failed to keep up with Georgia Highlands as they were outscored by the Lady Chargers' bench 23-4.

Shooting 50% from the field, Victoria Brown led all scorers with a game-high 23 points. Brown also added three rebounds, five assists, two blocks, and one steal. Freshman Laurie Thomas pulled in 16 points, four rebounds, one assist, and three steals. Both Fredricka Sheats and Ayana Collins recorded 12 points in the score column, with Sheats adding seven rebounds, five assists, two steals, and Collins with seven rebounds, three assists, three blocks, and one steal.

With a short break in the schedule, the Lady Titans will face South Georgia Technical College in Americus on Saturday, February 2 at 1:00 p.m.
