Chrystian Trauth of Perry High School signs with CGTC Men's Cross Country

Macon, GA – Amid the frenzy of National Signing Day for college football, the Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Men's Cross Country program made their own splash with the signing of Perry High School's (PHS) Chrystian Trauth.

Trauth, a four-year letterman, had top-10 Region 2 AAAA finishes as a sophomore and junior, and earned an 11th place finish in his senior year.

Chrystian completed his senior campaign placing 87th in a field of 222 in the 2019 Georgia High School Association (GHSA) AAAA Cross Country Championship with a time of 19:05.03.

"We're really excited to bring Chrystian in as the first Cross Country signee in the 2020 class," said CGTC Cross Country Head Coach, Craig Lawson. "At this point, I'm not sure he realizes the potential he has, but I think he has all the tools to excel at the next level."

In addition to cross country, Chrystian was a four-year member of the PHS swim and tennis teams. He was also a member of the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
