2020 GCAA Men's Basketball Championship Bracket

Macon, GA – In a thrilling overtime victory, the Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Titans defeated Andrew College 84-80 in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) Division I Region 17 men's basketball semifinal round Friday night.

Off to a rocky start in the first half, the Titans found themselves in an early 12 point deficit. The Titans' turmoil was attributed to costly turnovers and several missed baskets in the paint.

With the aggressive play of sophomore Lincoln Smith, the Titans were able to shift the momentum in their favor and go into halftime with a 31-30 lead.

Finding their bearings at halftime, the Titans came out strong on both ends of the court. With a balanced offensive attack, the Titans were able to find their hot hand around the perimeter, while capitalizing off offensive rebounds in the paint.

The Titans' second half efficiency was stunning, as the team shot 50 percent from the field, going 5-10 from beyond the arc. The Titans also shot 83.3 percent from the free throw line.

Following a missed buzzer beater by Andrew College at the end of regulation, the Titans found their composure and dominated the game in overtime.
