Macon, Ga. – In just their second conference loss of the season, the Central Georgia Technical College Titans (16-4, 6-2) went down in a nail-biter to Georgia Highlands College Saturday evening.

In a game that saw six ties and 11 lead changes due to the edgy, up-tempo styles of play by both teams, turnovers played a huge role in the Titans' offensive woes. Struggling against the full court press from Georgia Highlands, the Titans committed 24 turnovers in the game.

Down 81-79 with 11 seconds remaining in the game, sophomore Anyeuri Castillo was fouled going to the basket and earned a trip to the line for two shots. Making the first of two, Castillo was unable to connect on the second attempt. With the Titans unable to retrieve the deflection off of a defensive rebound, Georgia Highlands ended the game by dribbling out the clock.

Castillo led the Titans in scoring with 17 points, 11 rebounds, two, assists, four blocks, and two steals, notching his eighth double-double this season. DeJon Waters Jr. added 13 points, 10 rebounds, seven assist, and two steals, earning him his fifth double-double of the season. Aaron Ridley III rounded out the list of double-digit scorers with 11 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

The Titans will play on the road at South Georgia Technical College on Saturday, February 2. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
