Macon, GA – The CGTC Titans (6-4, 2-4) added another mark to their win column with a 77-71 victory over Gordon State College (3-4, 3-4) on Tuesday.

Refusing to rely on the outside shot, the Titans found their offensive flow early in the game by attacking the basket and dishing the ball to their post players in the paint.

With a few conference games under their belts and finally settling into their roles within the Titans' offense, freshmen Almamy Drame and Isaiah Scott came up big for the Titans.

Scoring the bulk of his points in the first half, Drame finished with a game-high 18 points off 5-of-11 (45%) shooting and 7-of-8 (87.5%) from the free throw line. Drame added four rebounds, one steal, and one block to his stat line.

Trending upwards offensively, Scott was the second-leading scoring in the contest with 15 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Keeping Gordon State's offense at bay, the Titans took a 35-30 lead at the half.

Sticking to their offensive strategy to start the second half, the Titans quickly ran up the score following a 15-6 run.

Sinking two big 3-point baskets with :27 left in the game, Gordon State cut the Titans' lead to four. With no timeouts remaining, Gordon State was forced to foul the Titans to stop the clock. Point guard Montavious Terrell secured the Titans' win with three made free throws down the stretch.

Also scoring double-digits for the Titans was Dominic Pierce who finished with 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds.

The Titans will be on the road in Barnesville to face Gordon State College again on Thursday, February 25. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m.
