
Titans Earn 3.0 GPA for Fall Semester
Warner Robins, GA- Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) student-athletes achieved a significant milestone during the fall semester, earning a collective 3.0 grade point average (GPA). The men’s basketball team led the way with the highest GPA of 3.5, and no athletic team fell below a 2.8 GPA.
This accomplishment comes in the first semester of CGTC Athletics competing at the highest level of competition in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). As a Division I program, the College’s commitment to academic and athletic excellence remains paramount.
“The competitive nature of our athletes is showing up exactly where we want it to the most, the classroom,” said Cathy Johnson, Executive Director of Compliance & Athletics.
“Each of our teams and their coaches are looking to outperform each other academically, recognizing that academic performance is the key to success in life and future athletic pursuits.”
College leadership expressed pride in the achievements of CGTC student-athletes, highlighting the collaboration between quality coaching, supportive faculty and staff, and a strong commitment to academic advising.
The Athletic Department recognizes these efforts as a foundation for continued academic success in future semesters.
