Lady Titans Rout Albany Technical College

Macon, Ga. – For the third time this season, the Lady Titans (10-15, 9-6) defeated Albany Technical College in a commanding 82-47 victory on Saturday.

Executing their full-court press from the tip-off, the Lady Titans let their defensive prowess lead their offensive attack. Thirty-seven of the Lady Titans' 51 first half points were attributed to 17 steals.

While earning many of their points off steals, the Lady Titans were also sparked by clutch shooting from sophomores Fredricka Sheats and Victoria Brown. At the halfway mark, Sheats and Brown were 3-6 and 2-6 from three-point range, respectively.

Freshman Laurie Thomas was a major contributing factor on both ends of the court for the Lady Titans. Leading all scorers, Thomas finished with 25 points, three rebounds, four assists, and nine rebounds. Recording a double-double, Fredricka Sheats added 21 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Victoria Brown pulled in 13 points, two rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Freshman Ayana Collins raked in five points, 12 rebounds, three assists, nine steals, and three blocks.

The Lady Titans return to action on Monday, February 11 when they host Combine Academy at 6:00 p.m. at Walker Arena in Warner Robins.
