2019 GCAA Championship

Milledgeville, GA – Finishing with a time of 27:59.5 in the men's 8K race, freshman Tim Feezor walked away with a first place finish in the 2019 Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) Cross Country championship. With the top finish, Feezor was named the GCAA Runner of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Region Team.

Freshman Joseph Everette also made the GCAA All-Region Team with his fifth place finish, with a time of 30:55.2.

Other top-10 finishers for the Titans were Navarre Kemp (8th place) and Patten Barham (10th place).

"I'm really proud of this team," said first-year Cross Country Head Coach, Craig Lawson. "The men set the standard for the conference with every runner finishing in the top-10, which is a first in school history."

After a tremendous season on the course, Tim Feezor will compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I Men's Cross Country Championship on November 9, in Albuquerque, NM.

"As a coach, you can't say enough about Tim Feezor winning it all," said Coach Lawson. "Tim is the hardest working athlete I've ever coached in any sport. He's represented our school well, and we look forward to seeing what he can do at the national meet."

In the women's 5K, the Lady Titans placed third overall. With a fourth place finish, freshman Lilith Broaddus sealed her spot on the GCAA All-Region Team with a time of 23:17.2.

Other top-25 finishers for the Lady Titans were Johnna RedwingPearce (11th place), Cassandra Clement (12th place), Megan Maxey (17th place), and Rosalinda Rostro (21st place).

"On the women's side, everyone has been battling through injuries and progressively getting better each week," said Lawson. "Lilith was able to pull through with a top-5 finish which is a great accomplishment."
