Macon, GA – The Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) Athletics Department is pleased to announced that Lincoln Smith has signed a national letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic endeavors at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.
Smith, a 6'5" forward from Columbus, Georgia, is a sophomore transfer from Southwest Mississippi Community College (SMCC). During his freshman season at SMCC, Lincoln averaged 8.8 points and 7.3 rebounds while shooting 51.8 percent from the field in 19 games played.
Six games into his sophomore campaign, Smith is averaging 12.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, and one assist for the CGTC Titans.
"Signing to Lamar University is a dream come true," said Smith. "It has always been my goal to play Division I basketball. I am blessed the coaching staff granted me this opportunity to gain an education and also play basketball on scholarship."
