Macon, GA – As October 1 signals the official start of winter sports across the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA), the conference has released its men's basketball 2019-20 preseason rankings.
Voted on by the men's basketball coaches in the conference, the CGTC Titans earned the number one spot going into the upcoming season.

3. South Georgia Technical College
4. South Georgia State College
5. Gordon State College
6. Andrew College
7. East Georgia State College
8. Albany Technical College
9. Southern Crescent Technical College
Coming off of their back-to-back reign as conference champions, the Titans are eager to take the court this season to defend their title. With only one returning player from last year's championship team, the Titans are looking to rebuild with a host of new talent.
"I'm very excited about our new group," said Reco Dawson, CGTC men's basketball head coach. "We have several guys that can play multiple positions, which will help in conference play."
While happy with the conference titles and top preseason ranking, the Titans are not banking this season on their past success. The team understands the importance of putting in work behind the scenes to reap the ultimate reward again at the end of the season.
"We are fortunate to be ranked number one in the preseason," said Dawson. "It shows how hard our guys are working and how far our program has progressed in such a short time."
The Titans will open their season at home on November 1 against Georgia Gwinnett College in their annual CGTC Classic.
