Hutchinson, KS – For the second time in consecutive trips to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I Men's Basketball Tournament, the No. 21 CGTC Titans (24-8) exited the tournament in the first round following an 84-62 loss to No. 12 Indian Hills Community College (27-6) Monday night.

Trailing for much of the game, the Titans found themselves outmatched by their opponents on both sides of the ball. Struggling to find their footing on offense, the Titans shot 36.7 percent (22-60) from the field, almost 10 percent less than their season average.

As the Titans hoped to rally in the second half, the Indian Hills Warriors proved to be too much behind the hot hand of Indian Hills guard Torrey Patton, who recorded a game-high 30 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Leading the Titans as they have throughout the season were sophomores Anyeuri Castillo and Evins Desir, the only double-digit scorers for the Titans. Castillo finished with 17 points, six rebounds, two assists, and three blocks, while Desir added 11 points and six rebounds.
