Americus, Ga. – For the first time this season, the Central Georgia Technical College Titans (16-5, 6-3) are on a two-game losing streak following a 77-74 loss to South Georgia Technical College on Saturday evening.

The Titans struggled early to keep the outside shooting of the South Georgia Tech Jets at bay. In just the first half, the Jets shot 8-15 from beyond the three-point arc.

After some halftime adjustments, the Titans were able to bounce back following two big baskets at the rim from Anyeuri Castillo. Sophomore DeJon Waters Jr. also had the hot-hand for the Titans in the second half, knocking down three huge three-point shots.

Leading 74-73 at the fifty second mark of the second half, the Titans lost the lead off of a turnover and layup by the Jets. After two made free throws by South Georgia Tech, the Titans were unable to capitalize on a game-tying three point shot in the final seconds of the game.

DeJon Waters Jr. scored a team-high 25 points for the Titans, and added three rebounds, one assists, and two steals. Anyeuri Castillo raked in 19 points, five rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

The Titans are back at home on Wednesday, February 6 at 6:00 p.m., when they host South Georgia State College at Titans Arena in Macon.
