Central Georgia Technical College's Sports Medicine Department has an established mission of providing our student-athletes with quality and comprehensive healthcare through the prevention, evaluation, and management of athletically related injuries and illnesses. To aid in the effectiveness of fulfilling our mission, we are partnered with Atrium Health, which provides orthopedic, podiatric, and additional medical specialties for our student athletes. We are very proud to add Atrium Health’s long standing reputation throughout the community towards our goal of delivering optimal healthcare.
For our visiting guests, we aim to make your stay with us pleasant and enjoyable. Therefore, we provide your student-athletes with an opportunity to receive treatment with the modalities we offer our student athletes: cryotherapy and thermotherapy. Please contact us in advance or provide written documentation from the institution's athletic trainer stating which modalities need to be used, as well as the associated parameters for those modalities. In addition, locker rooms and shower areas are available. However, please bring your own supplies (i.e. tape, pre-wrap, etc.) and towels.
